Great Quote From Dreary Fan, Eric Chaney

Eric Chaney, writer and director of Indigo Children wrote us a great note this week… “(Issue) 3 was my favorite issue, one page of silence, the 2 main characters alone in desolation for a time… They became real people for me here, rather than just outlaws… Underneath this action packed, entertaining and wonderfully illustrated graphic novel, there’s also a story about 2 flawed people, bank robbers, with a better understanding of God than the local priest.”

Thank’s Eric!

Don’t forget to check out Indigo Children, which has been getting rave reviews!

See Daryl Freimark’s Latest Film: Some Velvet Morning

Daryl Freimark’s latest film, Some Velvet Morning, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year, opens at Village East Cinema next Friday, December 13th!!

Daryl produced the film, which is directed and written by veteran film maker, Neil LaBute, and stars Stanley Tucci (The Hunger Games, The Devil Wears Prada)  and Alice Eve (Star Trek Into Darkness).

LaBute will be doing Q&A sessions after the  7:15pm screenings on both Friday, December 13th and Saturday, December 14th. Daryl Freimark will also be there.

A Hugely Successful New York Comic Con 2013

NYCC 2013 was an absolute blast and Dreary gained a ton of new fans!

I spent the whole weekend dressed up as Jonas, leader of Los Locos biker gang. Though quite a mean dude who I imagine has a very unsettling gruff voice, I decided to just be my friendly self when approaching people about the book. Everyone I showed the book to remarked at how beautiful the artwork was. Thank you Alex Sanchez, Allan Jefferson, Jonas Trindade, Rainer Petter, and Diego Tapié. A few people recognized that I was a character from the book and asked to take my photo!

Big thank you to Cruskaia, who came to help get the word out on Sunday. She dressed up as the main love interest, Stacy. Thank you to everyone else who also showed up and helped promote Dreary!

Thank you everyone who made Dreary‘s appearance at NYCC 2013 the huge success it was. I had a great time sharing our book and braving the crazy cosplay crowds. What an experience!
